Fish oil and flax seed oil are both excellent sources of omega 3 fatty acids. Not everyone can convert what is in flax to the active omega 3 and 6 oils that we need. Fish oil is easily contaminated by heavy metals.

Forgiveness is central for self healing. This is something one does for one's self. Punishment consciousness is a cultural trait that doesn't provide closure.
