A study from the UK published in October of 2012 on 10,000 people over the age of 50 showed that seniors who enjoy life live longer. Over 9 years they found that 20% died, but only 10% of those who had an "inner smile" and nearly 30% died who did not. Lonliness and isolation increase our risk for morbidity and mortality by up to 500%. Our survival depends on the healing power of love, intimacy and relationships at every level. The journey towards our inner truth is too lonely to go it alone. Teleologically we are built to have healthy relationships.

America is depressed. It is linked to health, insurance, employment. Positive emotions can make life longer and healthier. We're not engaged in life as we were years ago. We don't have the face to face connections any longer. Heart break, isolation, and lonliness and the fear of economic disaster; this is a decade of fear. People in poor countries...
