According to a study in the Journal of Nutrition, iron absorption is best from plant ferritin, which contains a thousand iron molecules rather than just single molecules found in iron supplements. Lowering cholesterol is not directly correlated to stopping arteriosclerosis and extending life. Inflammation is the cause and should be the primary target.
