Dear Dr. Saputo,

At 52 years of age, I have now come to encounter with everyday near vision problem.  I realized that people at 40 and over appear to have this problem, and I see some other people have no problem even at higher age.  What is the most effective way to correct near vision?  I recently heard about KAMRA inlay procedure, I am thinking about KAMRA inlay procedure that may eliminate my near vision problem.  Your feedback is appreciated.

Hi Kamra...
I understand that you don't want to be bothered by either doing Bates eye exercises or wearing glasses. However, no matter how good the advertising, I don't look to surgery to solve these kinds of problems. While most of the time they work fine, about 5% of the time the result is poor and it is difficult to un-do a surgery. My first choice would be to do the Bates exercises, but they take time and will not completely restore your vision back to normal. I have chosen to use bifocals or contact lenses.
