We have to eat to live, yet conscious nutrition goes beyond biochemistry. Environment has a lot to do with what we eat and what it does for us. We spend too much money for what we get back in service, and our health care is rated only 37th in the world. End of life care uses half of all money spent on health care. Carbohydrate addiction is very difficult to resolve. Sugars have a drug effect on the brain, but there are some quick and simple approaches to solve the problem. There are four areas that regulate this addiction. Serotonin, dopamine, gaba, and adrenalin receptor sites are involved. High glycemic index foods are the culprits.
