According to an article published in the April 2014 issue of Chemical Research in Toxicology, triclosan and octylphenol promote breast cancer growth in mice. Triclosan is found in the urine of 75% of Americans! MIce exposed to both chemicals had larger and more dense breast cancer tumors than mice not exposed to them.

According to a presentation at the Heart Rhythm Society in May of 2013, higher levels of estrogen are associated with an increased risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD) in both men and women. Bisphenol A is found in plastic bottles and is carcinogenic. It is now ubiquitous. One of the problems in assessing the safety of chemicals is that we don't look at the cumulative effect of thousands of environmental toxins. It is a hormone disruptor.
