According to a presentation at the Heart Rhythm Society in May of 2013, higher levels of estrogen are associated with an increased risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD) in both men and women. Having faith increases quality of life and longevity by 2-3 years in some studies. Studies on intercessory prayer also suggest benefit, but others show the opposite.
